Hello and welcome!

As I am sure you have guessed by the site name, I am Aaron. I was born and raised in the suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota, married my high-school sweetheart, Abbie, and together we have two daughters and what sometimes feels like a zoo worth of pets. A few years ago, we traded Minnesota winters for life in Florida, which we now call home.

This site has taken a few different forms over the years. It began in 2017 as a photography website, turned into a personal blog, and has slowly become a home base for the things I am creating, thinking about, and talking about.

These days, that mostly means Star Trek.

I am the host of the To Baldly Go Podcast, where I am watching Star Trek for the first time from the beginning. Along the way, I discuss the episodes with my wife, Abbie, and our friend Nate, who is our resident, life-long Trekkie.

The show is part first-time reaction, part discussion, part ongoing attempt to understand why Star Trek has meant so much to so many people for so long. We talk about the stories, the characters, the big ideas, the strange choices, the great episodes, the rough ones, and everything in between.

This site is where you can find episode posts, podcast notes, occasional written thoughts, and whatever else grows out of the mission to explore strange new worlds, seek out new life and new civilizations, and To Baldly Go where so many have gone before.

I still may write about books, family, philosophy, life, or whatever else happens to be on my mind. But for now, the main mission is Star Trek.

Thanks for being here.
